Perhaps you can relate to the bizarre state of stasis I've been malingering in since early November. Spinning my wheels, getting nowhere, stunned, wondering what to do.

My strength is in my work, and some of my work is for sale here but I want it to matter. The ray of sun comes shining through the cloudy skies of political despair when I realize what I can do.

And so from this day into the undetermined future--may God bless us, every one--I will be donating half of ANY and ALL sales from Quilty Maker to World Central Kitchen. I love to feed people; their work is feeding people in crisis; my work--and your purchase--will help feed people in crisis, and that feels like something that matters.

In other words, "Quilt for World Central Kitchen" will be joined by all the work in my store, and I will send immediate verification to buyers of our mutual donation to an organization that shows up anywhere in the world to feed people in crisis.

Anyway, resist by looking to the little stores for your holiday shopping, and please, be careful out there.
